If you and your boo are in isolation from each other you’ve basically just had the CDC put you into a long-distance relationship scenario. It’s a bummer, but the good news is there’s been plenty of advice written about keeping things hot and heavy while you’re unable to actually touch each other. Here are some of the best tips to keep your sex life alive.
- Exchange NSFW Films. Thanks to the wonders of technology, you can become your boo’s favorite porn star. And if ‘showing’ isn’t your thing, maybe ‘telling’ may be the best place to start. Sexologist Dr. Jess O’Reilly suggests to camera-shy lovers to film themselves in the dark or just recording their voice. “Your lover will benefit from the sounds, and the lack of a clear picture helps to build mystery and anticipation.”
- Write Your Own Erotica. It’s time to finally put that English degree to some sexy use. Put pen to paper and write down the sexiest scenario you can picture with your boo. It might just give you a good script to work with when you’re finally back together again.
- Send Sexy Emails. Dating expert Jonathan Bennett recommends brightening each other’s day by sending a few steamy photos via email. The pics don’t have to be centerfold level, and in fact, the less the better. A little bit goes a long way when it comes to keeping the lust-levels high while you’re both working from home. You could even forward them the email showing the sexy mystery gift you’re having an unsuspecting Amazon delivery person drop on their doorstep. It could be a good time to send them some coronavirus survival supplies as well.
