Do You Even Understand Your Credit Card Reward Plan?
Everybody wants travel rewards, but not everybody understands the math that goes behind them.
It’s 2018 and one of the most popular things to do is travel. Can you blame people? The world is so big and there’s so much to see. That’s why credit cards are hopping on board and adding several travel rewards programs to try and entice people to sign up. It’s not as easy as it seems though.
A new study says 54% of Americans find frequent-flyer programs confusing. This couldn’t be any truer. Not too long ago Producer Nicole traveled to Thailand and spent the following two weeks after the trip trying to calculate and add up all the frequent flyer points she had earned. To add on to that study, 44% of Americans say credit card rewards programs are dumbfounding, while 47% think hotel loyalty programs are difficult to understand. This study came from NextAdvisor. The high percentage may be alarming, but does it really surprise anyone?
We did a little research and thanks to Forbes, we found some of the best credit cards that offer travel rewards:
- Chase Sapphire Preferred
- Sapphire Reserve
- Capital One Venture
- Bank of America Travel Rewards
- Barclays Arrival Plus
- Starwood Preferred Guest
