Prince Philip Has Been Hospitalized

Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth II‘s husband, has been hospitalized at King Edward VII Hospital last night.
E! notes that it was for “as a precautionary measure” to treat an infection “arising from a pre-existing condition.”
Prince Philip had recently shared that he was going to retire from events, and he had planned on finishing his scheduled events through August, but maybe after this, that will change.
The State Opening of Parliament is today, and Prince Charles will sit in for Prince Philip.
