Beer Sales Are Down Worldwide
Even Russia is experiencing a beer drought…This must be serious.
According to a worldwide report, fewer alcoholic drinks are being consumed than last year. The reason? There’s generally a correlation between economic growth and increased alcohol consumption. This explains the plummet in beer sales that occurred in China, Brazil, and the drunk capital of the world, Russia.
Sales in cider and wine also fell globally, while spirits grew 0.3%. The UK is seeing the revival of gin, as sales for the iconic British liquor grew 3.7% worldwide.
