With summer just around the corner, people are looking to Airbnb to find their summer destinations. Currently, a lot of people are either planning or looking forward to their summer vacations. A new report reveals some of the more popular destinations for summer travel this year.
Airbnb has come out with its list of the Top Summer Travel Destinations. According to the report, people are looking to take longer trips this year, with nearly half of bookings for a week or more. They’ve also noticed an increase in interest in their ‘unique’ listings, prompting them to introduce Airbnb Categories, which makes it easier for users to find once-in-a-lifetime places to stay, like A-frame homes, farm stays, historic castles, and more.
As for where American travelers are looking to go this year, Venice, Italy is the top trending international summer destination, while Walton County, Florida is the top U.S. destination. The top trending summer destination for world travelers is Bodrum, Turkey.
