From WFH to gentle parenting (for babies or dogs), millennials have definitely changed the game when it comes to being an adult in 2022. So what does that mean for 2023? Here are the top millennial trends to expect in the new year.

  • 1. Infladating

“Plenty of Fish” says that 2023 will be the year of “infladating,” which is dating while keeping the cost of inflation in mind. According to them, 48% of millennials and Gen Z are opting for more casual and budget-conscious dating over upscale restaurants.

  • 2. Side parts and wet hair

That’s right, the middle parts are moving to the side, again, and damp style hair is back.

  • 3. Sittervising

This is when you keep an eye on your kid while you sit nearby instead of being on top of them. Independent play all the way!

  • 4. Investing in pet wellness

This includes giving your dog and/or cat supplements, nutritional foods and functional medicine.

  • 5. Job hopping

Between battling burnout and wanting to get a bigger pay raise, millennials are job hopping more than ever, and this is expected to continue.

  • The great hotel comeback

Vacation homes were all the rage, but now because of all the rental woes, hotels are coming back. Expedia Group expects that alternative wellness getaways will be big with millennials next year.
