Make sure to cleanse your horror movie palette with these comedies. The temperatures dropped a little more this past weekend and more leaves were falling from our trees. My dog Zoe sat on the back patio soaking up the sun and watching the squirrels. I cut the grass and completed some other minor yard tasks without breaking a sweat. Fall has entered the chat and now’s when we really start getting into Spooky Season.
What To Watch
I’m always a little overwhelmed with what to watch this time of year. There are so many great Halloween movies and shows, but it’s hard to watch them all in October. Nonetheless, my wife and I have been powering through our favorites and actually watched a new one over the weekend. I highly recommend “M3GAN” for a different, but also very real type of thrill.
Can You Watch Too Much?
Have you ever binged a series straight through, or watched a movie trilogy, and before you know it the day is gone? I hate that feeling of feeling absolutely drained after watching a new series while also realizing you were supposed to do laundry or clean bathrooms. I get a similar feeling when I watch too many horror movies consecutively. If you get that heavy-brained or groggy feeling after a full day of fright, do what I do and throw a comedy in the mix.
Don’t Let Them Eat Your Brains
There’s nothing wrong with being in the season and watching scary movies all day, every weekend, for the entire month of October. A lot of us do the same thing for Christmas, although some start celebrating Christmas on November 1st. It’s nice to refresh your brain from the slayings and screams with light laughter and whimsical puns. I like to throw in an episode of The Office or end movie night with some humor. Make sure to cleanse your horror movie palette with any one of my favorite comedies.
