Do you ever wonder what you could buy with $44 billion? Well think no more… Following Elon Musk’s purchase of social media platform Twitter, the team at CMC Markets came up with a list of things that he could have bought instead. This list is mainly rare luxury items that the average person could never dream of buying. But it goes to show you just how much money Twitter actually cost. The last thing on the list? That one you may have purchased. But you will never in your lifetime own $44 Billion worth.

But what could he have bought instead…? Read on to find out!

With a price tag of $10,000,000,000 Musk could have purchased Reddit 4 times with what he paid for Twitter.

  • Hubble Telescope

Owning the Hubble Telescope would be pretty awesome. It’s not obtainable for most, but at a price of $2,100,000,000 Musk could have bought 21 of them. Yes, 21. We know he’s interested in space, so maybe he will make this purchase.

  • NHS Charities

Many people have said he should have donated the money to charity. That amount of money would have bought out the charities. In fact, it was enough to buy NHS Charities 22 times. $2,000,000,000 is their estimated value.

  • 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO

Behind the head of Tesla, I’m sure Elon Musk has a massive car collection. For $44 billion he could have added to his collection with a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO. But not just one. How about 629 of them? The car goes for $70,000,000. It’s always good to have a backup.

  • L'incomparable Diamond Necklace

The world’s largest diamond is L’incomparable. It’s a stunning 407ct yellow step-cut diamond is attached to a rose gold chain. It also features an additional 91 white diamonds weighing more than 200cts. That $55,000,000 necklace could have been purchased 800 times.

  • Steiff Louis Vuitton Teddy Bear

This is one teddy bear that is not for kids. It’s the most expensive teddy bear in the world with a value of $2,100,000. Must could have purchased 20,952 of them. Though if that many existed the value would surely decrease.

  • iPhone 13 PRO

Now this is the one most of us can at least imagine purchasing. An iPhone 13 PRO has a price tag of $1,599. For $44 Billion Musk could have purchased 27,517,198 of them. No one needs that many iPhones no matter how many screens you break.
