Lexi’s Listens is a new weekly post I’ll do with the songs I’ve been singing to nonstop! My hope is that if you’ve never heard of these, you might discover some new hits to listen to.

This week, I have 6 really great ones. You probably already know SZA’s I Hate U, or I hope you do. It’s too good. It came out in December and already has over 106 million listens on Spotify and 10 million views on YouTube. That one’s starting the list because you need to listen to it right now.

One of my favorite artists is girl in red, so if you listen to her, I have good news for you!!! I think you will absolutely adore Pink Pony Club and Suffocate, although Suffocate is a bit sadder. The vocals in that song are *chef’s kiss* and Pink Pony Club always makes me want to dance. 🙂

A Song About The Sun is super vibey and reminds me of Childish Gambino’s “Redbone”. You’ll definitely like it if you like Redbone. Also, this week, I have another Kota the Friend song. This time, it’s BQE. Btw, it might make more sense to know before you listen that BQE stands for the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway in New York. LOL! I had to look it up since I’ve never driven in that area ever.

Last but certainly not least is a Discover Weekly gem called Call It Off. The vocals from Claire Brooks in this song remind me a lot of the band Litany who sing Bedroom (my favorite song ever), Call on Me, and My Dude.

I feel like the music you listen to you reveals more about your current headspace than we might think, so here’s a little look into the music playing in my mental elevator currently playing 24/7. This week’s Lexi’s Listens:
