Lexi’s Listens is a new weekly post I’ll do with the songs I’ve been singing to nonstop! My hope is that if you’ve never heard of these, you might discover some new hits to listen to.
Discovering new music is always good, especially when you find a gem you become obsessed with! The new year usually brings around a lot of great new music being dropped, so I’ve got some of those on the list this week. If you like COIN and haven’t heard Cutie yet, it’s amazing.
I also have some music that I just discovered. Sometimes, I really love to go on Soundcloud and look for lesser-known artists. This week, I have a song from a duo called Moosh and Twist. If you like KYLE, you will probably like how Moosh and Twist produced Champagne Poppin.
Another way I discover new music is through the Discover Weekly playlist on Spotify…aka my actual lifesaver. Through that playlist, I found a Dayglow song I like called Listerine and another bop called Long Beach. Let me know what you think of those!
Also, I am veryyyy late getting into Flo Milli’s music, but her hit “Weak” from 2020 is my favorite one of hers so far. Check it out below!
CHALLENGE:
I found a song called Open Season by the High Highs. Watch the YouTube video for it below and tell me what kind of movie scene it would belong in. I think the music video has huge nostalgic vibes, so the movie scene I see is in a coming-of-age film where the main character is having an epiphany about how much they love life.
