There’s nothing like a good movie. And nothing makes a movie better than an epic soundtrack. And sometimes, the film soundtracks are even better than the movie altogether. Like Camp Rock or arguably The Breakfast Club.
For me, whenever I think of movie soundtracks, of course, I think of Disney. The only whole soundtracks I used to listen to as a kid were the Now That’s What I Call or any of the Disney or Disney Channel Original Movies soundtracks. I know this would technically not be a soundtrack, but I also think of John Williams. He’s the composer behind many film scores including Jurassic Park, Superman, and Star Wars. I used to listen alllllll of those scores over and over again when I was a kid! So a glance at my iPod Shuffle in middle school might have, say, the theme to Harry Potter, and then immediately after, something by Ke$ha, LOL!
Independent put together a list of 40 of the greatest movie soundtracks, but I’ve got their top 10. Not included from the Independent’s list is Belly, The Bodyguard, Dirty Dancing 2, Drive, Lost Highway, Lost in Translation, Romeo and Juliet, The Beach, Pretty in Pink, and Black Panther.
What other film soundtracks should be on this list?
