When you think of the best cuisine in the country where does your mind go? Cities like New York, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles? What about Charlotte? Well it should be on your radar. Big news for the Queen City culinary scene with the inclusion of a Charlotte restaurant on the New York Times 50 Best Restaurants list.

This list is an annual one by the publication. Each year they travel the country and eat extremely well to curate a list of the nation's premier dining establishments. And the honorees reflect the entirety of the country including Oklahoma City,  Juncos, Puerto Rico, Washington state, and Maine. A lot of the restaurants are upscale food but you also have some sandwich shops, bbq joints, and other more casual dining options. There is also a variety of ethnic cuisine including Ethiopian barbecue, Haitian cooking, and Asian delicacies.

The one thing all 50 of these restaurants have in common? Incredible food. Some are newly opened, and others have been around for years. But you're sure to be impressed with the quality at any of these places. So what was the Charlotte restaurant featured on this New York Times 50 best list? It was Leah & Louise!
