Stuffing at Thanksgiving dinners is a must-have item and homemade stuffing has traditionally been the better choice versus store-bought offerings. Huffpost has found 8 store-bought stuffing mixes that hold their own with homemade stuffing and claims that some of these may even be better. Here are the 8 that they recommend checking out.

  • Kraft Stove Top Turkey Stuffing Mix

this mix was the favorite of professional chefs and is affordable and easy to find at the supermarket. It features a turkey flavor that’s infused with turkey stock and herbs like sage and thyme. Follow the instructions and make sure you don’t add too much water” for the best results. $2.48 at Amazon

  • Pepperidge Farm Herb Seasoned Classic Stuffing

this stuffing was the favorite of one of the Huffpost writers that claim it has a heartier texture than Stove Top and holds up well when baking. Manuel Hewitt of The Barrel Room in San Francisco says that “in the past, when strapped for time during the holiday I’ve always grabbed the Pepperidge Farm herb stuffing from the store.” He adds sautéed onions, garlic, carrots, celery, and butter for seasoning and cooks the stuffing in chicken stock instead of water. $2.48 at Walmart
