Of course, it seems like a given, duh.

  • 5. Hartsville, South Carolina

    Hartsville’s crime rate per 1,000 residents was listed as 50.58 per 1,000 persons making it the 5th most dangerous city in the state. The population of Hartsville is 7,454 and in 2021 there were 377 violent crimes.

  • 4. Cayce, South Carolina

    Cayce’s crime rate per 1,000 residents is 52.46 which comes in as the 4th most dangerous city in the state. The population of Cayce is roughly 14,088 people in the area. In 2021, there were 739 violent crimes took place in the state.

  • 3. Clinton, South Carolina

    Clinton’s crime rate per 1,000 is 54.17 which ranks it as the 3rd most dangerous city in the state. The population in Clinton is 8,288 people. In 2021, there were 449 violent crimes in the state. Clinton is in the Laurens County area of South Carolina.

  • 2. Darlington, South Carolina

    Darlington’s crime rate per 1,000 residents is 57.55 which makes it the 2nd most dangerous in the state. As we’re getting closer to No. 1 we can see who is coming next. The population of Darlington is about 5,856 people. In 2021, there was a total of 337 violent crimes.

    Coming in at No. 1 on the list! Orangeburg, South Carolina is the most dangerous city in South Carolina because is crime rate per 1,000 residents is listed at 61.86. The population in Orangeburg is 12,335 people. In 2021, there were over 750 violent crimes. Guess we see why this city made the list and took home the No. 1 spot.
