Bowl At Ballantyne Welcomes New Spot For OG Hamburgers
I find myself popping into The Bowl at Ballantyne quite often lately with all the new restaurants coming on board. And now, Harriet’s Hamburgers Ballantyne opens at the Bowl, serving up ‘OG’ hamburgers.
Harriet’s Hamburgers Ballantyne Opens
You may already be familiar with Harriet’s Hamburgers because of their location in Optimist Hall that opened several years ago. But, when Harriet’s Hamburgers Ballantyne opens August 20, it will be the first stand alone location of Harriet’s in Charlotte.
And, according to AXIOS Charlotte, this menu will have many more options. So, what does this mean for customers? Well, we’ll be able to choose the burgers and fries we love Harriet’s Hamburgers for. But, we’ll also be treated to some of the chain’s Minneapolis favorites.
So, I have watched and anxiously awaited as the new Harriet’s Hamburgers Ballantyne opens soon. And, the thing I noticed and loved about it’s structure was the nod to an old time diner. The space is 1600 square feet with seating indoors as well as a space for outdoor dining. On the green space I saw kids and families playing and enjoying the nice weather.
What To Expect On The Menu As Harriet’s Hamburgers Ballantyne Opens
Ok, on to the menu when Harriet’s Hamburgers Ballantyne opens soon. They’re known for the ‘OG Hamburger.’ This is a double patty, white American cheese, house made pickles, marinated ribbon red onions and their ‘simple sauce.’ That’s a secret recipe, by the way. It’s served on a buttery Parkerhouse roll.
Harriet’s Hamburgers Ballantyne will also offer ‘The Royale.’ They call it their version of a California burger. This one includes locally grown tomatoes and shredded lettuce with yellow American cheese in addition to the burger patties.
Next, is the ‘Jucy Lucy.’ The menu calls it “a secret menu item now a mainstay.” It’s a cheese-stuffed burger modeled after the Minneapolis favorite that harkens back to the restaurant’s roots. It comes with pickles and a three cheese blend guaranteed to ‘ooze.’
And, of course, Harriet’s Hamburgers offers up Boylan Craft Soda and Cheese Curds. Cheese Curds are a must try and only available at the Ballantyne location.
Plus, kids can enjoy the ‘Happiness Meal,’ which includes a burger, fries or apple chips, soda or juice and a coloring book and crayons. And, yes, it’s reminiscent of McDonald’s!
So, make plans to try Harriet’s Hamburgers Ballantyne opening at The Bowl on August 20. We’ll try it and let you know!
