Chef Swap At The Beach Returns To South Carolina For Another Season
There are two things I spend a lot of time with…the beach and any type of cooking competition show. And, I’m very excited to see that Chef Swap At The Beach returns to South Carolina for another season this month.
Chef Swap At The Beach Returns To South Carolina
If you aren’t familiar with this particular competition show, I’m happy to elaborate. Some of the best chefs in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina go head to head with only 60 minutes to prepare a dish in another chef’s restaurant. And, at stake is the coveted Chef Swap knife.
This one is fun to watch because we spend a lot of time at Myrtle Beach. And, there’s usually at least one restaurant featured on the show that we have visited. This is the 3rd season for Chef Swap At The Beach on Cooking Channel. The new season premieres August 17 at 7 p.m. EDT.
The Lineup Of Chef Swap At The Beach
Visit Myrtle Beach announced the lineup in July, and there are some pretty impressive competitors this season. Some of those participating include, Kenny Adams from Wild Wing Golf Course, Billy Homer of Rustic Table, Jason Trinh of JEM Social and Steve Brown of The Brentwood.
I mention Steve Brown of The Brentwood because we had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant earlier this year for a friend’s birthday celebration. The Brentwood is a charming spot at 4269 Luck Ave. in Little River.
The Brentwood is in a beautiful old Victorian style house and also serves as a perfect spot not only for special occasion meals, but weddings, too. And, it also bills itself as ‘the most haunted restaurant in South Carolina.’ Now, when we visited, we never saw any ghosts. However, there’s a whole story surrounding the history of the restaurant/home.
But, the food and atmosphere were both delightful. The Brentwood features terrific fresh seafood dishes, fine dining steak, cocktails and phenomenal desserts. So, I would think the chef who’s chosen to go head to head against Steve Brown will have some challenges.
But, we’ll look forward to seeing how it all turns out on the new season of Chef Swap At The Beach. For more details and a full list of competitors take a look at the announcement from Visit Myrtle Beach.
