Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery Changes: What You Should Know
Amazon has introduced a new pricing structure for its In-Garage Delivery service, impacting Prime members who utilize this feature. The change, effective as of October 4, adds a fee of $1.99 per order for In-Garage Delivery. However, Amazon has also introduced a way for customers to use this service without the extra cost.
The new approach involves scheduling your In-Garage Deliveries on what Amazon calls “your Amazon Day.” This option, known as Amazon Day with Key Delivery, allows customers to have their in-garage deliveries consolidated and delivered on the same day each week, as per their preference. By choosing this option, the $1.99 fee for In-Garage Delivery is waived.
What is Amazon’s in-garage delivery option?
When an Amazon delivery driver arrives at your location, they scan the package and request temporary access to your garage, which must be equipped with compatible smart-home technology. Amazon Key then verifies the package and the driver’s location before opening the garage door. After securely placing the package inside your garage, the driver exits and uses their delivery app to close the garage door.
Amazon highlights several advantages to this new approach. It gives customers more control over when their packages arrive, reduces the number of drivers accessing your garage, and contributes to minimizing packaging waste by consolidating deliveries.
Should you need specific deliveries to arrive sooner than your scheduled Amazon Day, there’s an option to select one- to two-day In-Garage Delivery during the checkout process for a fee of $1.99 per order. Alternatively, if you prefer doorstep deliveries, you can opt for that option either at the time of purchase or by configuring your Amazon Key settings within the Amazon app.
This adjustment comes on the heels of Amazon’s previous changes to its delivery-related pricing. In August, the company raised the minimum purchase requirement for free shipping in select markets from $25 to $35 for non-Prime members, marking a $10 increase.

Finding affordable clothing dupes for your love of luxury fashion without spending too much money can actually be a fun challenge. I’m pretty picky when it comes to shopping for new stuff to add to my wardrobe. Especially with the way things are with the economy, you may not be able to afford to make impulse buys, get clothes that won’t last, or buy something to only wear once. So, you sort of have to master the art of smart shopping. You know, looking for deals online and having a game plan.
Right now, Amazon seems to be the place everyone’s talking about for these cool finds. Even those TikTok “For You” pages are all about how Amazon is the spot to discover clothes that look like big-name brands. And sure, having an expensive piece from your favorite brand is cool and all, but it’s not a must when there are dupes that give you the same vibe.
And trust me, you can put together an awesome outfit that doesn’t wreck your wallet. Amazon has your back with affordable stuff, from sweet dresses to shoes that could pass as a designer. Brands like Free People and Lululemon have some really comfy styles that make a statement. But I’m all about getting a deal on clothes, and Amazon has tons of Free People dupes that won’t break the bank. I was surprised to find out that these Amazon clothes not only look almost the same, but they feel that way too. For you, I’ve compiled a collection of affordable clothing dupes from Amazon as good (if not better) than the real thing.
