Britney Spears’ Sons Might Move To Hawaii With Kevin: Report
Honoree Britney Spears accepts the Vanguard Award onstage at the 29th Annual GLAAD Media Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on April 12, 2018 in Beverly Hills, California.
Britney Spears’ two sons might be relocating to Hawaii with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline. A source told ET Tuesday (May 16) that Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, sent a letter to Spears. The letter asks if she would be open to letting their sons move with their dad and stepmom, Victoria Prince.
Federline and Spears share sons Jayden James, 16, and Sean Preston, 17. The source added that if the singer objects to their plan, K-Fed is prepared to take it to court. Federline said Spears, 41, hasn’t seen her boys in over a year and that they were “very excited” to relocate. As the source said, such a drastic measure is unlikely to make it to court. The source said Spears would mostly likely accept their wishes.
Why would they want to move to Hawaii? The source said Federline has DJ opportunities there, and his wife has a job offer at a university there. Their sons are apparently ready to move sometime in July. Jayden will continue classes remotely, and Sean will have already graduated.
Kevin has sole legal custody over their sons. However, his lawyer said, “The law still requires you to get the consent of the other co-parent.” Kaplan added that he would file a petition in court if Spears doesn’t respond or refuses Federline’s request. “We would probably be filed in the next ten days or so. But I’m thinking that she will come to the right decision. [So] pursuing this by traditional decree is not going to be necessary,” Kaplan added.
Britney’s Response
Spears took to her Instagram Stories today, mentioning her sons. She posted a video with her husband Sam Asghari and one of his friends. Spears wrote, “My boys are at that awkward age I haven’t been able to shoot them for 4 years…” She added, “It was cool to make contact yesterday!!!”
Britney Spears' Sons Are Angry At Her, Haven't Spoken In Months
Britney Spears has not seen her sons in five months because they feel uncomfortable around her and have received upsetting texts from her, according to ex-husband Kevin Federline’s lawyer.
Per gossip website TMZ, after the singer posted to Instagram (and has since deleted the post) about her relationship with her kids Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15. Federline’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan said Federline has never trash-talked her to their kids. According to Kaplan, the teenagers made the decision to stay away from their mother on their own and that they have not had a single overnight stay with Britney in years. Kaplan added that Federline believes the boys love their mom, but they’re angry at her.
Kevin is annoyed Britney referred to his house as having “more weed than Ludacris, 50 Cent, Jay-Z and Puff Daddy combined!!!!”
Britney’s lawyer, Matthew Rosengart, released a statement in response to Kevin sharing private videos on Instagram: “Britney Spears is a brilliantly-talented, extremely-hardworking icon, who is rightfully beloved and respected by millions around the world. The same, unfortunately, can not be said about Mr. Federline, who for reasons that are inexplicable, decided to give a gratuitous interview that has hurt the mother of his children.”
Britney’s husband Sam Asghari came to his wife’s defense on Instagram, writing about Federline, “His character is revealed by approval of the cruel 13 CShip and his loyalty to Jaimie indicates his approval at time of its conception as well.”
Asghari’s concluded his Story with a laugh, writing, “I will not comment on this matter again except to say I have a job,” with a crying laughing emoji.
