North Carolina Home to Two of America’s Most Windiest Roads
Ever driven on a road where you feel like the wind is about to take you and your car? I never can tell if it is because I am tiny and drive a sedan or if it’s the wind. That is very intense for me for sure! I hate driving on super windy days where I can literally feel the wind rocking my car and my body inside the car. That is one of the most heart-throbbing things for me. I am almost terrified of car accidents, so anything that is fighting against me driving smoothly, I strongly dislike!
Only In Your State names the top windiest roads in America and I am taking note of where to stay away from. These roads look the part windy and creepy for sure. But, they are saying that these roads are bucket list roads for “fun.” Not sure who would ever want to drive on these, but hey have at it. Two of the roads are right here in North Carolina. The first one is Cherohala Skyway running through North Carolina and Tennessee. This is a beautiful route that has way too many curves for me. Through the entire 43 miles, there are over 300 curves through the entire roadway. Excuse me, do you know how crucial those curves are? Next, there is The Dragon in North Carolina. The Dragon is located on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina. It is an 11-mile stretch strongly known for its curves. The view is great and enjoyable, but the curves and leans are something serious! Guess I know what roadways I will be staying away from.
