DoorDash Driver Reportedly Held Customer’s Food In Exchange For Sex
The New York Post reports that a DoorDash driver held a customer’s food hostage in exchange for a sexual favor.
The customer posted details about the encounter on her Facebook page. In the post was a screenshot of a message from the driver that said, “Help me out a little sexually and I’ll deliver the food. If not, I’m gonna have to cancel.” The woman added, “I feel incredibly unsafe because now this sick individual has both my phone number and my address.”
Since the incident happened, the driver has been fired. DoorDash has also released a statement.
They said, “This inappropriate and unacceptable behavior is never tolerated on the DoorDash platform. The Dasher involved was immediately deactivated, and we have been in contact with the customer to offer our support. We sincerely regret that this incident fell short of the experience we strive to provide every day.”
There are no details on where the incident took place.
