Holiday Inn Says Bye to Mini Shampoos to Save Seas
BOCA RATON, FL - JULY 27: A green turtle is held as marine turtle specialists prepare to release the more than 570 baby sea turtles, including the Loggerhead and Green turtles, into the Atlantic Ocean in a joint effort between the Coast Guard and the Gumbo-Limbo Nature Center on July 27, 2015 in Boca Raton, Florida. The sea turtles hatchlings come from turtle nests located along beaches throughout Florida, which are the primary nesting grounds for Loggerhead sea turtles. (Photo by Joe Raedle/Getty Images)
Dang, I’m happy and sad at the same time now.
I love mini shampoos, lotions, and conditioners you get at hotels. Even if I bring my own wash, I still take them home with me. They are just so cute and mini.
But now, things are going to change. The owner of Holiday Inn and InterContinental Hotels says Tuesday nearly 843,000 guest rooms are switching to bulk-size bathroom amenities as part of an effort to cut waste and save the seas.
The fight to save the seas depends on it, so I’m in. The transition is said to be completed by 2021.
