Beautiful beaches can be found in North Carolina. Since the 1930s, North Carolina beaches have been a top destination for families. You could visit the Outer Banks, Wrightsville Beach, or even Topsail Beach. Rental cottages and beach houses are popular on the coast as people go to escape the heat, enjoy the ocean breezes, swim in the Atlantic waters, and have a good time with friends and family.

July is vacation month!

I feel like EVERYONE is on vacation this week, and most the people I know are at the beach. We got our beach trip in early this year, in June, so now I just get to look enviously at everyone else’s vacation pictures.

One thing you don’t really think about ahead of time but definitely need at the beach, is a good playlist!

But what do people want to hear? As the “DJ” in the friend group, I am always asked to be in charge of the music. It’s a hard job, but thanks to this new study, you won’t have to think to hard anymore.

Vacation Rental provider, Pure Kauai, looked through Spotify and came up with the songs people are listening to at the beach the most. Out of 24,000 songs, from over 300 playlists, here are the most popular beach songs.

  • 10.) Island Song - Zac Brown Band

  • 9.) One Love / People Get Ready - Medley - Bob Marley & The Wailers

  • 8.) Toes - Zac Brown Band

  • 7.) Could You Be Loved - Bob Marley & The Wailers

  • 6.) Santeria - Sublime

  • 5.) Island In The Sun - Weezer

  • 4.) Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison

  • 3.) Three Little Birds - Bob Marley & The Wailers

  • 2.) Knee Deep (feat. Jimmy Buffett) - Zac Brown Band

  • 1.) Margaritaville - Jimmy Buffett
