TikTok is great at making things go viral, whether it's food, clothing, or deals. One thing users are always looking for is real, unfiltered advice, and that's exactly what they got from user Lauren Giraldo. A few years ago she shared her viral treadmill workout, and now it seems to be everywhere.

Giraldo first shared her favorite viral treadmill workout routine in a video on YouTube back in 2019, but it didn't really go viral until she posted it on TikTok in 2020. Naturally, in 2020, we were all at home and looking for effective ways to stay in shape, so the routine spread quickly.

The workout is called the 12-3-30 workout, and consists of walking on a treadmill, with an incline of 12, a speed of 3, for 30 minutes.

That's it!

Before and After's

Many users have shared their before and after pictures of them using the treadmill technique, and the results are pretty impressive!

The Best Technique

While the workout seems simple enough, the YouTube page, The Run Experience, explains the safest and best techniques to do the 12-3-30 workout.

Their own Instagram

The 12-3-30 workout has become so popular that it even has it's own Instagram page now with over 40k followers!

My own experience...

I've tried the 12-3-30, and let me tell you... It may sound easy, but it is definitely not! You definitely have to get used to the incline. Trust me, you will be sweating afterwards! It's also okay if you can't complete the 12-3-30 on your first try. Do the best you can, and take your time until you can build up enough endurance to complete the workout.
