Thinking of moving into suburbia? Or perhaps suburbia somewhere else? Zillow and Redfin have new data that reveals the priciest suburbs in each U.S. state. Travel And Leisure put them all on a list. But, before we even get into the 2 most expensive in the Carolinas, I can tell you right now there are many states with pricier suburbs than here.
The most expensive suburb in all of the U.S. is Montecito, California with a recent median sale price of over $5 million. Surprised? Probably not in the slightest. After all, California is where some of the wealthiest people in the U.S. are based, so it makes sense.
But, you might be surprised by some of the states that immediately follow California on the list for the priciest suburbs. I’ve listed the Top 15 based on the median sale price for a house in each. Then, I’ll give you North Carolina’s and South Carolina’s followed by other pricey Southern suburbs to compare.
Call it now: who has the pricier suburb of the two Carolinas? Let’s see if you’re right!
Is it expensive where you live? Would you want to move somewhere as expensive as Montecito?
