Who run the world? Girls! March is International Women’s Month. Across the world, women face numerous challenges in their daily lives. This month we are sharing extra support for females and all the amazing things they have contributed to our history and community. National Women’s History Month traces its roots to March 8, 1857. This is when women from various New York City factories organized and held a massive protest. This was over poor working conditions.

Today, women have hit milestones. It should come as no surprise that most of the innovative tastemakers on the rise are women. According to Yelp, these are some of the top 10 women-owned restaurants in Charlotte, North Carolina. These are in order of the highest-ranked restaurants from one to ten.   According to Yelp, this female-owned restaurant has over 200 reviews it offers delicious Ethiopian cuisine at reasonable prices. Your family and friends will enjoy their cuisine entrees served in a casual and friendly environment. Abugida Ethiopian Café is located at 3007 Central Ave, Charlotte, NC 28205.

  This is a new spot in the Charlotte area. It is a coffee lover’s dream and is owned by women. It is located in historic downtown Pineville and is a flavorful, little cafe overflowing with loose leaf teas, locally roasted coffee beans, freshly made sandwiches for breakfast and lunch, salads, flatbreads, lattes, and much more.
