Get ready. This post is just me telling you everything I love about Miley Cyrus. Because I do love her. And it’s so easy to be in awe of her range as an artist.
You know that question, “If you could only listen to one artist for the rest of your life, who would it be?” My answer to this is Miley Cyrus because of her career. She started off as a child actor and singer who pretty much shaped my childhood with songs like “7 Things”. Then, she broke away from Disney and got into making party music for a bit, like “We Can’t Stop”. Then, I’m not gonna lie: her music got a little weird around 2013-2015. I’m not saying I don’t like it, but it’s not my favorite.
My favorite is the period of her music right after this time when in 2017 she came out with Younger Now with her hit “Malibu”. From then until now, Miley’s music has been incredible, but some of it has flown under the radar, like “Mother’s Daughter”.
Here are 7 songs that show Miley Cyrus’s range as she grew up, navigated between genres, and discovered her sound.
