Can we talk about how June is almost over? The time is flying and although it’s been 90 degrees for what feels like an eternity, this will actually be the first official weekend of Summer believe it or not.
We have sunshine and heat in the forecast for this weekend, but you know that never stops events around Charlotte from happening. There is a lot going on this weekend in Charlotte and here are my top picks of things to do around town.
40th Anniversary Heroes Convention 2022
This long running convention will be at the Convention Center this weekend. Some of the best comic creators and comic book dealers will all be there. The event is $50 for adults and free for those 18 and under.
James Taylor & His All-Star Band
James Taylor is in Charlotte this weekend at the Spectrum Center. See him Friday night at 8pm.
The Masked Singer National Tour
If you watch The Masked Singer on TV, you can watch it live this weekend in Charlotte at TheBOplex. The event starts at 8pm on Friday and costs $39.75+
Rock & Stroll 5k
Suffolk Punch Brewing is hosting their Rock and Stroll 5k this Saturday. Dress up in your favorite rock star gear and run or walk, all to support Cancer for College, a charity that provides need-based college scholarships and educational experiences to cancer survivors attending school in the Carolinas. Donations are welcome, and the event starts at 8am on Saturday morning.
Brewers 4th Anniversary Party
Brewers at 4001 Yancey is celebrating their 4th anniversary this Saturday with a big party. They will have live music all day long, birthday decor, and cupcakes and beer for guests. Stop by starting at 11.
Charlotte Caribbean Carnival
Charlotte is celebrating Carnival this weekend. Check out the Carnival-inspired fashions, and stop by the Afro-Caribbean Village to check out all the vendors. This event is on Saturday, starting at noon, and costs $15.
Big, Blonde & Beautiful: Hairspray Drag Brunch
Start off your Saturday with a Hairspray themed drag show at The Artisan’s Palate. The show is happening from 2-3:30pm and costs $20 to attend.
Uptown Pride Bar Crawl
It’s PRIDE month, and the there is a PRIDE bar crawl will be happening this Saturday in Uptown. Seven different bars are participating. The bar crawl costs $12.99 and will start at The Local at 4pm. Please note, this bar crawl is not associated with Charlotte Pride
Camden Commons
Camden road in South End will be shutting down traffic on Saturday, and turning the street into an outdoor living space. There will be games, music and tasty food. The event is happening from 11am to 5pm and is Free to attend!
Backstreet Boys: DNA World Tour
Your favorite boyband is stopping by Charlotte to sing all your pop favorites. see The Backstreet Boys at PNC Music Pavilion on Friday, starting at 7:30.
