Looking for a weekend getaway in South Carolina? There are many small towns to visit close by to take some time away from a busy city. Growing up in South Carolina, I have been to and heard of many small towns with a rich history to learn about. South Carolina has so many beautiful hidden gems for you to enjoy this Summer.

Have you ever wondered how small towns can get in South Carolina? Trust me, it gets really small. From towns with roughly 500 people like McClellanville or those with a few thousand like Walterboro. There are many small towns that will allow you to truly enjoy time with each other. From exploring, learning the history, or just relaxing in a quiet scene.

I did a little research and decided to make this quick list of small towns in South Carolina worth visiting. No, I have not been to them all but I know quite a few of them. Being born and raised in South Carolina gave me a bit advantage, so why not share. There is also information on each little town when you are ready to start planning your next road trip.
