Throughout her career, Wendy Williams has never been afraid to speak her mind. Unfortunately, it has led to many feuds with celebrities. Here are a few.
One of Wendy's most recent feuds was with Dionne Warwick. During her Hot Topics segment, Wendy was chatting about Dionne's new Twitter fame. In the process, she shaded Dionne and brought up her past legal troubles. She also alleged that Dionne doesn't like her. Dionne clapped back at Wendy on Twitter. Among other things, she wrote, "I don't believe one has to be mean to get noticed...There's an old saying you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar! Try it Wendy you might like it."
NeNe Leakes and Wendy Williams appeared to be besties, but that didn't last long. Around the time NeNe was let go from "Real Housewives of Atlanta," Wendy kept talking about her on her show. Wendy later appeared on "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen and had a lot to say. She said, "NeNe likes attention, dramatic attention. I don't know what NeNe's going to be doing for money." She also said a spin-off show with NeNe and her husband would be "boring." Afterward, NeNe sent out several angry tweets for both Wendy and Andy. From then on, the friendship was never the same.
Evelyn Lozada was not afraid to come for Wendy after Wendy talked about her child. While talking about the Basketball Wives star, Wendy referred to her baby as a "cash register." Of course, Evelyn Lozada attacked. She tweeted and aired out that she'd seen Wendy's husband in her boutique buying shoes for another woman. She ended her tweets with, "#NowPutThatOnHotTopics."
A Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actress not only had beef with Will Smith, but also with Wendy. After Janet Hubert found out Wendy was talking about her feud with Will on her show, she wrote an open letter calling the talk show host out. Sadly, Wendy never responded.
After Wendy commented on Ariana Grande's looks, she was in the dog house with her fans. Wendy said about Ariana, "She'll forever look 12. I don't mean that in a good way. It's nice to look younger than you are, but when you look too young, and she's short...I don't look to her as a woman." Soon after, "#CancelWendyWilliamsShow" was a trending topic on Twitter.
While chatting about Joaquin Phoenix, Wendy had a comment about his lip. She said, "When he shaves off his mustache, he's got a hairline fracture. He's got one of those — what do you call it? Cleft lip, cleft palate." Afterward, she mimicked him and said, "He's got this. No, I find it to be very attractive." Wendy later apologized to the cleft community and donated to various non-profit organizations.
After Wendy referred to Nicki Minaj's husband as a killer and sex offender, Nicki attacked. On her radio show, she said, "There are people who report the news, and there are people who do it with an evil intent in their heart, viciousness." Nicki added, " I didn't know that your viciousness and evilness was this deep-rooted."
After Wendy accused Kim Zolciak-Biermann of being hospitalized to get sympathy while on Dancing With the Stars, she came after the talk show host. Kim tweeted, "Absolutely appalling!! @wendywilliams how disgusting for you to insinuate I 'faked' my mini-stroke on your show this morning!! You mad cause I didn't come on your show! This clearly shows your warped mentality!!"
In 2012, Wendy commented on Beyonce's voice while talking about her documentary. She said, "I'm watching because, fortunately, one of the TVs in our kitchen has closed captioning. So, I'll be able to understand what she says. You know Beyoncé can't talk. Beyoncé sounds like she has a fifth-grade education. She can't talk." In a separate incident, Wendy Williams said Beyonce couldn't sing and needs autotune. Of course, the Bey-hive was not okay with either statement.
Back in the day, Wendy had a lot to say about the relationship between LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian. As you might have expected, Rimes was not having it. She tweeted, then deleted, "All I know is Wendy Williams done pissed my mamma off! I don't wanna be in her path. To say, 'I've reserved myself a place in hell?!' I'm incredibly disappointed to see someone with that kind of platform use it for such negativity and could be so mean and judgmental about a situation they know nothing about."
