Two in Mecklenburg County Test Positive For Coronavirus
The first two cases in Mecklenburg County have tested positive for COVID-19 officials are stating. Both people are self-isolated, says public health director Gibbie Harris. The county says one person’s case could be related to out-of-country travel and the other to out-of-state travel.
“We are now in a situation where we could potentially have community spread,” Harris said. There have been discussions about gatherings happening in the county this weekend, but there have not been any recommendations yet. The county has not recommended school closures yet either. North Carolina is now at 14 cases of Coronavirus.
