Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has been a massive success. Shows have been sold out across the globe now for weeks, and honestly, we’re not surprised. If you haven’t heard, friendship bracelet trading at Taylor Swift concerts is a thing. It’s really sweet and a great way to meet new people. If you are Swiftie, you know that this friendship bracelet thing does not come out of nowhere. It stems from a lyric in her song “You’re On Your Own Kid” of her latest album Midnights.

So make the friendship bracelets
Take the moment and taste it

Thousands of Taylor Swift fans will arrive at Eras Tour venues and just to trade friendship bracelets. And with Taylor likely to be supporting her new beau Travis Kelce, the starting Tight End of the Kansas Chiefs, in the upcoming Super Bowl, we couldn’t imagine a better reason to make a whole new set of bracelets. In case you didn’t know, Travis Kelce shot his shot by giving Taylor a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it. And honestly, I swoon every time thinking about that!

Making Friendship Bracelets

The Eras Tour movie is coming to Disney+ on March 15th. I don’t know about y’all, but I definitely have an Eras Tour viewing party coming up. And of course we’re planning on making bracelets and trading them!

Here are the items you will need to make your own Taylor Swift friendship bracelets. These have been tested out by me – and it took a couple of failures before I got the products to work together in the easiest way possible.

For an adult, I have found that a 27-inch string is the perfect size, plus using 25 color beads and 5 alphabet beads.

So, pour yourself a drink, play a Taylor album of your choosing, and get crafting! And if you’re looking for some fun decor and Taylor Swift-inspired pieces for your party, we have a few here for you!

  • Get Organized

This item has been a lifesaver! Do not try this project without it. You can organize your alphabet beads on this mat and the beads don’t go all over your workspace. Also, it comes with a double-ended handy-dandy bead scoop/tweezer.

  • The String

After a lot of trial and error, I have found if you get this list of beads and alphabet beads using a .8 mm elastic clear sting is the best.

Tip: Also, before putting your first bead on the string, stretch the string to prep it.

  • The Beads

Think of the songs or albums you want to create bracelets for and then pick out your beads. This one has a vast variety of bead color options. Also, the 6/0 4mm sized ones look pretty and are not too small so you cannot string the beads just using your fingers. (Believe me, don’t go with smaller beads.) This item also comes with some extra .8 mm string, too.

  • Spell It Out

I liked these alphabet beads with the metallic options included in the pack. Also, Reputation is one of my favorite albums, so the colors would go great with that bracelet. They also have a pack with more neon and colorful alphabet beads.

  • Container For The Beads

The alphabet beads don’t come with a plastic container, so I decided to grab these to help organize them.

  • The Glue That Holds It All Together

Once you have made the final knot you should put a dab of E6000 jewelry glue on the knot to secure it.

Tip: when putting on the bracelets to wear them roll them on your wrist, do not stretch them and then roll them. You will be less likely to break them.

  • Chip Clips

Yes, chip clips. You will need this to put on the opposite end of the string you are beading. This will help stop the beads from falling off before you are ready to tie it up.

  • Football Beads

How cute are these!? We definitely, want these on our bracelets especially if they’re going to be football-themed.
