To compile the report, Dwellics analyzed over 20,000 cities in Texas, Louisiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. They paid particular attention to the quality of education, community, climate comfort, infrastructure, safety, and finance of each state. HomeAdvisor surveyed 2,200 Americans in the 25 biggest cities in America to find out which cities have the most and least annoying neighbors as well as most annoying neighbor habits. Here, we're going negative by talking about the most annoying neighbors.
Today, about half of the people surveyed talk to their neighbors once a week or less (52%), and more than three in five have gone out of their way to avoid them. 64% of Americans know most or all of their neighbors, and 58% consider them to be friends. One in three say their neighbors annoy them once a week or more, most often because of general noise, loud parties and parking issues.
