North Carolina, these are the 8 things you should buy during this month! With only a few weeks remaining for shoppers to get all their gifts under the tree, December tends to kick holiday shopping into high gear. If you are looking for those BIG deals, you might want to give these ideas a try.

To help shoppers score some great buys this month while also learning which items to save for a later date, Offers.com shopping experts have listed the top items to buy in December to maximize their holiday savings.

• 1. Gift Cards

  Here’s one of our favorite little-known December hacks: Several restaurants and stores offer limited-time gift card offers throughout the month. In exchange for spending a certain amount of money on holiday gift cards, eateries and retailers typically offer bonus credit. For example, this year, Benihana’s is offering a $10 promotional card with the purchase of $50 in gift cards and Bertucci’s is handing out $40 in bonus rewards with the purchase of a $40 gift card. Meanwhile, retailers like DSW are treating shoppers to a $25 bonus card with the purchase of $100 in gift cards and movie theaters like Cinemark are providing a $10 bonus coupon with the purchase of $100 or more in gift cards.

• 2. Toys

  In the weeks leading up to Christmas, retailers become more eager to move toys off their shelves and into your stocking. Even though the hottest toys and gaming devices rarely see price cuts around the holidays, action figures, dolls, board games, and other toys will begin to be discounted as the holidays approach. Super Saturday, the last Saturday before Christmas, is typically the day when savings are at their peak. On this unofficial holiday, retailers like to entice panicked parents with some of the season’s deepest discounts. Super Saturday will take place on December 18.

• 3. Book Your Hotel Stays

  Even though hotel prices have largely rebounded from 2020 lows, global hospitality data shows that hotels remain less occupied across the country than in 2019. This month, you can still find excellent prices on rooms in select markets, including New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and D.C.

• 4. Tools

  The winter holidays are often a time when you can get good deals on tools, along with Father’s Day. Now is the time to stock up on hammers, bits, and buzzsaws, because you won’t have another chance to save big until June.

• 5. Wedding Dresses

  As last year’s wedding season is over and next year won’t begin until spring, this month is usually a good time to purchase wedding dresses. In December, many retailers offer limited-time deals on designer gowns to entice brides-to-be.

• 6. Select Electronics

  You’ll still find great deals on electronics in December, even after Black Friday and Cyber Monday are over. Retailers hold additional sales to get rid of the remaining tech inventory from these sales.   Whenever possible, we recommend purchasing giant inflatable snowmen, tinsel, and wreaths after Christmas. You can expect seasonal items to be discounted by 75% or more the week following December 25. Despite how distant Christmas 2022 may seem, now is the time to stock up! We can usually expect prices to drop as we get closer to the 25th of December if you need some last-minute decorations.

• 8. Fall Clothing

  You can often find great deals on fall-weather fashions now that the temperatures are dropping and you need thicker coats and long underwear. In December, stock your closet with light jackets, sweaters, and other autumn styles for next year – and winter layering.
