US News and World Report just released their 2023 Best Children’s Hospital Rankings. And three North Carolina Children’s hospitals are nationally ranked in a variety of specialties. A children’s hospital is something you hope you never need as a family. But in the event you do you want to go to the absolute best. This is why US News and World Report has compiled these rankings for the last 17 years. Because if your child is sick you want to spend your valuable time getting them to the care they need, not researching where to go.
Nationwide a total of 89 hospitals were ranked in at least one specialty. So how does US News create these rankings? According to their website, they collect data from a “clinical survey sent to nearly 200 hospitals” as well as a survey “sent to thousands of pediatric doctors nationwide”. That data is then sent to a North Carolina-based research firm (RTI International) which generates the rankings and analyzes the results.
