Info You Need To Attend The Novant Health Thanksgiving Parade
This year the Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade is moving from its traditional Thanksgiving morning time slot to Wednesday evening. This year’s parade will take place on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 24th at 6 pm. This marks the 75th running of the parade. According to the website the Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade is the “fourth largest of its kind in the country and the biggest in the Southeast. In 2019, the event drew 110,000 live spectators and 2 million household viewers via broadcast.” That’s pretty impressive! Planning on attending or watching the parade this year? When: Wednesday, November 24th at 6:00 pm
Where: The Parade route is on Tryon Street traveling from 9th Street to Morehead Street.
Where To Park: Parking will be available in many places on the street as well as in the many parking decks. Another option is to take the Lynx train.
TV Broadcast: The parade will be broadcast live on WBTV and will also be rebroadcast Thursday morning.
Reserved Seating: Tickets for reserved seating can be purchased here for $25.
How long will the parade last: According to the event site the parade is anticipated to last 2 hours
Covid Protocols: Those in the reserved seating areas must wear a mask at all times, regardless of vaccination status, while in the reserved seating area. Additionally, they must provide proof of full vaccination against Covid-19 or proof of negative Covid-19 test results within 72 hours of the event (If you need assistance locating a testing site, tests can be scheduled through your MyChart if you are a Novant Health patient, or you can schedule through the Go Health Urgent Care site at www.gohealthuc.com)
