Jeannie Mai On Her Relationship With Jeezy: ‘I Found My Equal’
Last week, news broke that The Real’s Jeannie Mai was dating rapper Jeezy. The two both took to social media to make their relationship “Instagram official.”
This week, Jeannie Mai opened up about her relationship on The Real and claimed that she has found her equal in The Snowman, who she first started getting to know last November.
“The things that I’ve been criticized for my whole life, and in my past relationships. Jeannie you’re too deep. You think about things too much. Why does everything have to have a purpose?” Mai said.
“And I’m not one for small talk or small conversations. I want to know why do you think the way that you do. What brought you to look at things the way you do? Who are you? Who’s important to you? And I’ve found my equal.”

Jeannie Mai had a lot of positive things to say about her new beau.”Those of you who have been fans of him [Jeezy] for a long time know that I just got to know him in November. So, he’s introspective. He’s passionate. He’s incredibly deep. He’s a visionary. He’s a great leader. He’s an amazing servant to his community,” Jeannie Mai said of Jeezy. Check out the clip below.
On Sept. 4, Jeezy shared a photo of the pair on Instagram. “She love when I talk dat fly $h–,” Jeezy wrote as his caption. Shortly after Jeezy uploaded the photo, an old clip from The Real surfaced on Twitter, where Jeannie Mai told her cohosts that she would only date black men “on the side,” as Ok! magazine reports.
Mai’s former co-host Tamar Braxton then asked her to explain her comment, and the host seemed to backtrack. “What I meant was I used to date black men because I think they’re attractive, but what I decided to stick to because it just kept me happiest was my man Freddie, who happens to be white,” Mai clarified.
