Machine Gun Kelly Mourns Friend Luke ‘The Dingo’ Trembath, Reflects on New Child
Machine Gun Kelly is mourning the loss of his close friend, professional snowboarder Luke “The Dingo” Trembath. Trembath passed away on February 28 at the age of 38, though the cause of his death has not been shared publicly.
On Friday (March 7), the musician took to social media to honor his friend, sharing an emotional tribute alongside a series of photos.
“We’ll Never Get Another Dingo”
“Crazy… I didn’t even cry this hard when my dad died,” MGK wrote on Instagram. “I’ve lost a lot of friends, but I’ve never lost a brother. We’ll never get another Dingo on this planet.”
He went on to describe Trembath as “a true rockstar without ever needing to make a song” and praised his unforgettable personality. “The most loyal, loud, charismatic, funny, and annoying human I’ve ever had the honor of knowing,” he added.
A Loss That Hits Close to Home
MGK also shared how difficult it was to break the news to his 15-year-old daughter, Cassie. “Telling my daughter you’re gone was one of my hardest phone calls, because she loved you so much,” he wrote. “And I’ll never forget when she was too young to understand your name was Dingo so she called you Ping Pong.”
A Bittersweet Goodbye
In his tribute, MGK reflected on the idea that Trembath is watching over his unborn child with Megan Fox, who is expecting later this year. “Dressed up in a hilarious costume making them laugh, getting ready to send them down,” he wrote. “I couldn’t ask for a more bittersweet birth blessing.”
He ended his message with a powerful statement: “Life will always be less without you, but legends never die. We’ll all miss you, brother.”
Honoring Trembath’s Legacy
Along with his heartfelt post, MGK also shared several throwback videos of Trembath on his Instagram Stories.
Trembath’s passing was first announced last month by Monster Energy, which produced his UNLEASHED show. His legacy as a beloved figure in the snowboarding world and beyond will live on through those who knew and loved him.
