19 New Restaurants Coming to Charlotte in 2025
Charlotte’s dining scene is getting a boost. Next year brings 19 new restaurants, with Panko, blending Peruvian and Japanese cuisine, leading the pack in NoDa. Local hot spots are expanding too, launching new locations across the city.
Workers started building Panko’s new home, 730 E. 36th St., back in August. By December, they finished the 90-seat restaurant, featuring indoor seating and a patio. Luis Soleno told Axios Charlotte, “We want diners to feel like they’ve traveled to another country when they come to Panko.” The menu will showcase a mix of traditional dishes and seafood specialties. You’ll find tender Lomo saltado, fresh ceviche, and grilled octopus.
NoDa’s getting a taste of Yemeni coffee culture when Bayt Almocha opens at Centro NoDa. They’ve built a following with four locations in Michigan and Kentucky. Mohammed Abouzid shared with Leo Weekly, “My favorite part of managing this restaurant is meeting new people and putting a smile on their faces with our drinks and beverages.”
Jekyll & Hyde Taphouse & Grill’s expanding to Fort Mill after success in Waxhaw. Portofino’s is opening its fifth Italian spot right in uptown.
The Westin Charlotte starts 2025 with Dogwood: A Southern Table. At SouthPark Mall, Marlin Bar will dish out Tommy Bahama’s beach-inspired food to shoppers.
ACE NO. 3 picked Uptown’s center for their fourth burger joint: look for them by summer. Popup Bagels picked Charlotte for their Southeast debut. Meanwhile, Mariah’s Taco Spot is upgrading from a food truck to brick-and-mortar.
Krazy Curry’s moving from Pineville to uptown, bringing their Indian-Nepalese dishes with them. South End’s adding another coffee spot when Giddy Goat Coffee Roasters opens up.
