Lingerie and costumes retailer 3Wishes just debuted what they are calling the “Sexy Vaccine Costume.” It sells for $55.95 and is just a nude minidress, with a headband and syringe sticking out of it.
"We wanted to make the costume as simple and wearable as possible," 3Wishes CMO and co-founder Sarah Chamberlain, explained to Yahoo. "We ended up with the nude dress because it could be interpreted as an arm with the vaccine going into it. It's a little obscure but instantly recognizable."
The costume doesn’t specifically say it’s a COVID-19 vaccine costume. Chamberlain does acknowledge that it was inspired by it.
“We obviously take the pandemic very seriously but with everything being so divisive, we feel adding in a little humor can lighten the mood." She told Yahoo: “we thought that this may be a more lighthearted way for party-goers to pay homage to what we've all been dealing with for the last year and a half."
- And that’s not the only timely news story that has inspired a sexy costume by 3Wishes. They also have a “Sexy Billionaire Space Costume,” which sells for $74.95 and incudes a blue space suit and cowboy hat.
