I know, we're all cold and thinking about the warmer weather. Trust me, I have never wanted summer to come here as much as I have this year. For some reason this year the cold weather is really getting to me. All I can think about is how fun it would be to be in shorts, a tank top, or even a bathing suit laid up by my pool. Yes, I can see the vision!

Travel U.S. News released its list of the best cheap summer vacation destinations in the country. Of course, the Carolinas made the list. South Carolina has one of the country's best and cheap summer vacation destination locations. Can you guess where in South Carolina you should go for a cheap getaway this summer? Find out below where we need to travel to save some money this year and which South Carolina destination made the list!

10. The Finger Lakes

Crazy to think New York and cheap are in the same sentence, but here we are. The #10 spot is Finger Lakes in New York. Boating, fishing, swimming, and water sports are popular activities to enjoy in the area while visiting. The perfect warm-weather activities and not too expensive.

9. Hot Springs, AR

A few miles from Little Rock is Hot Springs. The name sounds like a pretty good area to spend the summer, "Hot" Springs. Take a trip to Hot Springs National Park. The park is free to enter and you can check out their campsites for starting at just $30 a night.

8. Williamsburg

Check out Virginia this summer and take a visit to the historic Williamsburg. Visit the site of the first settlement at Jamestown and even check out the Yorktown Battlefield.

7. Surfside Beach, SC

Coming in at No. 7 is South Carolina. Head down to Surfside Beach this summer if you haven't already been. Surfside is known as "The Family Beach" and is a 2-mile strip along the coast. Enjoy beach hula, fishing, family games, and more during the summer at Surfside Beach.

6. Colorado Springs

Head on over to Colorado Springs for some fun this summer. Enjoy free activites like biking, hiking, and walking trails with so much to see.

5. Yellowstone

Visit Yellowstone with the family this summer and see one of the most notable spots in the country. Entrance fees cost $35 per vehicle or $20 per person on foot for 7 days, while campsites start at $20 per night. It's one of the most magical and majestic views in the country.

4. Grand Canyon

Everyone knows and loves the Grand Canyon, right? Even if you have not been you are probably wanting to go at least once in your lifetime. I know I am. Campsites start at just $18 per night during the warmer months, while the park entrance fee is $35 per vehicle and lasts seven days.

3. Moab

Now this is one that is new for me. Moab is in Utah and is coming in pretty high up on this list. It borders two national parks so you can enjoy both. Visit Arches National Park or Canyonlands National Park while you're in the area and knock out two national parks in one trip.

2. Niagara Falls

Coming in at No. 2 is Niagara Falls. This is another one of those destinations that everyone pretty much knows the name even if they have never been. Good news, New York and Ontario sides of Niagara Falls are pretty affordable summer vacation destinations.

1. Bar Harbor

And the No. 1 affordable spot is Bar Harbor! The most affordable summer destination is in Maine. Acadia National Park is on one side and Frenchman Bay is located on the other. Summer is the best time to visit because the weather is warm and dry, what more can you ask for?
