It’s so important to tip well!! Especially since we are amidst a pandemic. Plus, we are in the season of giving! And many people spend more money during the month buying gifts for their loved ones. Research from Popmenu shows that the average person has been tipping more and more since the pandemic began. Their survey reveals that 56% of people currently tip servers 20% or more.

Brendan Sweeney, the CEO and co-founder of Popmenu, says, “The pandemic has created a more giving America when it comes to tipping restaurant staff. Consumers know this is an industry that has been hit hard and they want to support their favorite eateries, especially staples of their local community.” He says this change is very positive for the industry since it relies so much on people’s generosity.

Popmenu looked at over 450,000 online food orders from the last 6 months to determine which cities had the best tippers on average.

One North Carolina city made the Top 15. And it’s not Charlotte…
