Lexi’s Listens is a new weekly post I’ll do with the songs I’ve been singing to nonstop! My hope is that if you’ve never heard of these, you might discover some new hits to listen to. Like that Nick Jonas song with Ty Dolla $ign that I haven’t listened to until now! What a banger.

Discovering new music is always good, especially when you find a gem you become obsessed with! But honestly, those never hit the same as those favorite throwback songs you know all the words to already! Something about singing along to old throwbacks really keeps my soul alive.

This week, I’ve been listening to some throwback songs from the early 2000s. I’ve also been listening to some more recent songs from 2016 and 2017 that I’m rediscovering. Or do you ever discover a song for the first time like 5 years after it comes out and people have already been obsessed with it? I’ve got a few of those on the list. Like Lost – Frank Ocean is having a resurgence due to its use on TikTok.


I also rediscovered 2U – David Guetta, Justin Bieber. Watch the YouTube video for it below and here’s the challenge part. Listen to it at 1.5x speed and tell me the end (2:20 – 3:00) doesn’t sound INCREDIBLE!
