  • Start with Soft Furniture

    Make sure your body is completely relaxed before you enjoy a massage, detoxifying mask, or meditation podcast. It’s important to create a space that’s as peaceful and tranquil as possible. You need to feel comfortable and warm to relax, so get a lot of blankets and cushions as well as cool lighting to set the mood for you.

  • Create a Soothing Atmosphere

    Be sure that your mind is at ease as well as your body. Schedule some time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Disconnect from your phone and tablet and relax. Enjoy herbal tea, or even a glass of fizz, and use a meditation app. You can get into a peaceful state of mind by playing relaxing background music and lighting scented candles. I choose candles infused with aromatherapy oil. If you’re feeling emotional, opt for cedarwood or sandalwood to help restore balance. If you struggle to sleep, lavender is a must. For pure luxury appeal, a rose-scented candle is a must.

  • The Right Temp: Bath or Shower

    If you’re looking to reset, relax and unwind in a wet room, there are a few tips and tricks to set the mood for maximum unwinding potential. The best spa sessions at home involve soaking in a hot bath for a long time. There is an art to bathing; you can allow your mind and body to truly relax by using oils, scents, and lights in the right combination. The temperature should be 40°C. Rather than taking a bath, you can add a few drops of essential oil to your shower cubicle before stepping in. Your shower will smell wonderful as the steam fills the air.

  • Invest in Good Bath Enhancers

    To make your at-home spa even more unique, aromatic fragrances, salts, and bubbles will leave you feeling fresh and smelling wonderful. Both essential oils and Epsom salts are rich in magnesium, and they are ideal for treating sore muscles and setting you up for a good night’s sleep. I like the lavender Epsom salt! An orange, rosemary, and lavender bubble bath offers both calming and pampering benefits, making it an ideal remedy for stress. For a five-star experience, you can use products that contain gold flakes for softer, more supple skin after your soak.

    You don’t have to pay a hefty price tag for soft, supple, glow skin. Lesley has some amazing recipes which are guaranteed to give your skin the vibrancy it is looking for.
