Mother's Day is Sunday, and while you may be blocking off special time with mom on that day, there are plenty of other events going on this weekend around Charlotte. Yes, there is rain in the forecast this weekend, but I'm not letting that hold me back!
I'm so busy in May, this is actually my only full weekend I get to spend in Charlotte this month. Because this is my only weekend, I plan on taking full advantage of some of these events going on.

Bring mom out and get creative this weekend with this interactive, fun event! 10-11am. $30-$50
Benefit For Ukraine Fashion Show at The Galleries at Eight Eleven
100% of the proceeds from this Friday night event will go directly to the CARE organization for Ukrainian relief. 6-10pm. $75
26th Annual Twilight 5K at Wells Fargo Plaza
Run through Charlotte at twilight Friday Night. This run that welcomes all levels of runners. 7-10pm. $20-$30
One Fest at Lenny Boy Brewing
There will be 45 classes and workshops happening throughout the day on Saturday at Lenny Boy. 8:30-11am. $30-$89.
Seltzerland at Paradise Valley Golf Club
Maney and LauRen will be out at this event this Saturday where you can drink all the seltzer you heart desires! 11am. $35-$55.
Derby Day at Brewers at 4001 Yancey
The Kentucky Derby is this Saturday. Celebrate at Yancey where there will be a costume contest and best big hat contest. 11am. Free.
