For a lot of kids, this may be the last weekend of Summer, as schools are starting up soon. So why not make the most of it?
There are plenty of events, and fun things going on this weekend, even though it is going to be (miserably) hot.
Here are some of my top picks of things to check out this weekend in Charlotte.

Beers and crafts; this sounds like my dream day! On Saturday, more than 30 local vendors will set up shop for the first Craft Vintage Market. Expect finds like vintage clothing, handmade goods and other wares. The event runs from noon to 5 and is free!
Charlotte FC vs. Chicago Fire FC
Root for Charlotte FC this Saturday at Bank of America Stadium. the game starts at 7pm, and tickets are $29+
OH Happy Day! 3rd Birthday Party
Optimist Hall is celebrating turning three on Sunday with activations like a bounce house, face painting, balloon animal and caricature artists among other festivities. The event runs from 11 to 3, and is kid-friendly!
Front Porch Sundays at Atherton Mill
Spend your Sunday checking out local vendors while walking along the rail trail and enjoy live music and interactive fun. This event runs from 11am to 4pm, so you can sleep in a bit.
Now, if someone can please help me figure out how I’m going to convince my boyfriend that we need to go to the Humane Society Event… and I promise I wont adopt an animal, that would be great!
Whatever you choose to do this weekend, I hope you have an amazing weekend, filled with love and laughter!
