- It looks at 32 thousand listings in the 100 most popular Airbnb markets for rentals in July 2023.
- In general, customers are responsible for an average of 36% in fees added on top of the listed nightly rate. On average, cleaning fees are 11% of the subtotal, service fees at 15% and taxes are 10%.
- The average cleaning fee is $160. The lowest cleaning fee is $95 in Cleveland and the highest is $313 in Telluride, Colorado.
- Atlanta has the highest average fee added to the nightly rate at 48%.
- Phoenix is right behind that at 47%, as is Fort Myers Beach, Florida, at 46%.
