The holy holiday of Lent is observed every year. Lent is a forty-day period of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at sundown on Holy Thursday, according to USCCB.org. It's a time of preparing to celebrate the Resurrection of the Lord at Easter.
Wednesday, March 2 marks the start of the Lenten season in 2022. If you are abstaining from meat on Fridays during Lent (or just love seafood), Offers.com has compiled a detailed list of restaurants across the country offering seasonal seafood and fish deals during Lent. We narrowed down the restaurant specials in North Carolina to suit your taste.
Here is a list of 25 lent specials across North Carolina and the Charlotte area. Want even more? Be sure to check out Offers.com's full roundup here for the complete list of restaurants offering deals and specials offered during Lent.
1. White Castle

5. Popeyes
The Flounder Sandwich at Popeyes is causing quite the fuss. While it seems simple enough—a crispy flounder fillet with pickles and tartar sauce on a brioche bun—according to those who’ve tried it, limiting consumption to Lent or just Fridays would be a shame.
