Love…it can be kind of boring. Am I right? And for some of us, we like our love mixed with a bit of disaster. I don’t know about you, but I love the adrenaline rush of scaring yourself silly.

Whether you love bloody slashers, psychological thrillers, or comedic thrashers, there’s a Valentine’s Day horror movie for you. Here are 10 horror movies you should watch for Valentine’s Day. So grab the popcorn, candy and start watching. Happy Valentine’s Day and may your Valentine’s Day be filled with candy, kisses, and bloody screams!

  • 10. Cabin in the Woods

This will be your satirical horror film. There will be love, romance, and of course horrible murders. The film follows a group of college students who retreat to a remote forest cabin, where they become victims of backwoods zombies. I won’t spoil it for you, but the twist ending is epic.

  • 9. MIDSOMMAR

A24, you did it again. If you’ve never had the pleasure of watching Mid Sommer, you must set aside some time this Valentine’s Day!! This movie is a perfect example of finding love…in the strangest places. Things quickly turn wrong for a couple when they find themselves overwhelmed by a cult while in Sweden for a music festival. It features slasher gore, twists, tragic deaths, and most importantly…family love.

  • 8. My Bloody Valentine

It wouldn’t be Valentine’s Day without seeing this horror classic from 1981. A slasher film about a group of young adults who are attacked and killed by a maniac. The killing spree occurs on Valentine’s Day.

  • 7. Jennifer's Body

God, I love this movie. I wish there had been a sequel. Jennifer’s Body incorporates high school romance and the devil. It features one of my favorite actors, Adam Brody, and of course, the gorgeous Megan Fox. If you like watching a healthy amount of culty, gory, and survival scenes, you’ll love this film for Valentine’s Day.

  • 6. Warm Bodies

I adore this one. A sweet horror film featuring zombies, humans running from them, and love! (Between a human and zombie of course) This storyline is a fun new twist on a classic love story.

  • 5. Halloween

Are you single? Spending Valentine’s Day with your best friends? Then Halloween is the perfect movie for you. Michael Myers slashes his way to your heart. Two journalists, Aaron Korey and Dana Haines travel to Smith’s Grove Sanitarium forty years after the Haddonfield murders in 1978 to interview Michael Myers, who was captured after he was shot off of the Doyle house balcony by Dr. Samuel Loomis.

  • 4. Bride of Chucky

Love…and death. Tiffany Valentine (perfect time right?) is a murderous doll and goes after her only love, Chucky. This is the fourth installment of the Child’s Play franchise.

  • 3. Happy Death Day 2U

Happy Death Day, the first one, was okay. In my opinion, this one is much better. The same thing happens over and over again as two lovers play Groundhog Day with murder. What I love about this one is that the main character’s love is in an alternate universe with someone else. Oh…and you have to keep dying to avoid watching your loved ones being murdered. Happy Valentine’s Day!

  • 2. Silence of the Lambs

Will you put the lotion on your skin? Fun fact, this film was actually released on February 14, 1991. Silence of the Lambs isn’t your typical Valentine’s Day film, but Hannibal Lecter sure has love to share. This film reminds you of the dangers of coveting and being coveted. How romantic!

  • 1. Get Out

This one has to be number one. I mean literally, the guy goes to visit his girlfriend’s parents and her family is absolutely nuts.
