Dr. Sprowl was recognized as Volunteer of the Year by the State of Nevada in 2011 and 2012 for her work with Purple W.I.N.G.S., a nonprofit mentoring program for at-risk teens and Dr. Sprowl currently serves as a board member.

Alexander Youth Network
S.C.O.R.E., a mentorship program dedicated to inspiring young women into the science and technology field.
Recently, Dr. Sprowl received the Outstanding Service Award for her dedication to service in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System.
