Alzheimer’s Disease – What We Know For Sure About Research And Cure
June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month. And this is part 3 of our series on Alzheimer’s. The disease is no stranger to many. There are some 6.9 million Americans age 65 and older who are living with Alzheimer’s dementia. It’s a horrible, degenerative disease in which there is no cure. There are medications, however to slow down the progression of the disease, and doctors and scientists alike say this is an exciting time for Alzheimer’s research and treatment.
Which for millions of Americans this could mean more months with their memory and thinking intact. Which also equates to more time for independence, family, friends and an overall improved quality of life.
We’re going to talk more about this new research & treatment as well as dig a little deeper into just what Alzheimer’s and where it came from.
